Welcome to the official website of Farming Simulator, the 1 farming simulation game by GIANTS Software. Creating Loose Grass Loose Grass is created by a Mower or Universal Cutter as they pass over growing Grass in a field or a meadow. Tedders create Hay directly from Piles of Loose Grass. Yet strangely I never get offered any contracts to do weeding for them. Creating Hay Main article: Hay (Farming Simulator 17) Tedders are the only way to create Hay in Farming Simulator 17. I also notice from looking at the map that none of the other AI Farmers seem to know how to do weed removal as every field apart from mine is showing as Pink on the map screen. That's pretty annoying and expensive in the opening of a game if the only way to reliably kill the weeds is with spraying, as the weeder doesn't seem to work or its not clearly explained when the weeder should be employed. I ended up having to lease a sprayer and buy some herbicde to kill the weeds on both my fields. 62.8K subscribers Subscribe 4.3K views 6 years ago In the latest video from FTF, we break down the many uses and combinations of the weeders along side some of the other equipment. So can the weeder not remove weeds if the crops planted on the field have gone past their first growth stage? After spending several minutes driving across both fields I checked the map and the weeds were still there. So I assumed I could use the weeder to remove them. ![]() At this point the weeds sprung up, I'm fairly certain at their first stage. ![]() This way you only pay for seed, fuel and time.I have recently started doing a YouTube let's play on the Estancia map and today I recorded a video where my starting two fields, which I cultivated, fertilised and seeded then fertilised as soon as the crops reached their first growth stage reach the point where the crops are at the dark green status stage on the map before going to the first yellow harvest stage. Harvest -> manure or slurry -> plow/cultivate -> seed oil radish -> cultivate -> seed crop -> wait growth -> weeder -> wait growth -> wait growth -> harvest. If you want to go green, and not pay for fertilizer, you can do it like this: So: Harvest (change) -> fertilize 1 -> plow/cultivate (change) -> fertilize 2 -> seed (no change) -> growth 1 (change) - > fertilize 3 -> growth (is a change but you don't need it anymore)-> growth (same) -> harvest. (that makes no sense, but you can in the game.) The weeder cannot be used after stage 2 of growing, but can be used anytime before that. Solid, liquid, manure, slurry, digestate and weeder. When I say fertilize, you can use any method of fertilization you want. Sowing is not a change of soil, so you can't fertilize before and after sowing and have 2 fertilization stages. Available Equipment Weeders Einbck Aerostar-Rotation 1200 Einbck Pneumaticstar 900 Notes The Einbck Pneumaticstar 900 is actually a grass weeder with a separate seeder attached on top. ![]() Harvesting changes the soil, that's why you can fertilize right after harvesting. You can fertilize once per growth stage or per soil change.
